Mill certificate

A mill certificate is documentation from the manufacturer certifying a material's chemical and mechanical properties for a specific production lot, and it is frequently required on fastener and PVF orders.

A line requiring certs is not just an item — it carries a paperwork obligation that has to travel with the shipment and be traceable to a heat or lot number.

The requirement is often stated once on a cover sheet or in an email body and applies to lines further down the document, which is exactly the sort of context lost during re-keying.

Why it matters on an order desk

FrontBeacon keeps the requirement attached to the affected lines rather than discarding it with the page it appeared on.
